How did the idea of Turboshred happen? For many freestylers, individual competitions don't mesh with the throw/catch origins of freestyle flying disc. How can you play "true" freestyle without another player to throw to you, to feed off of, to co-op with?

Inevitably when speaking to fans or the media, the question comes up: who's the best player? Everyone has their opinions on who the best jammers were/are, and who the best competitive teams were/are, but until now the sport hasn't had a way to determine who the best individual player is on a given day. Turboshred attempts to do that. I want to run a Turboshred event!
Awesome! For more information, read the tournament director FAQ.

I'm a player. What happens at a Turboshred event?
Basically, people go for big moves and hit them, then people go for bigger moves and hit them, and in the end everyone has a great time and the sport of freestyle progresses. For more information, read the player FAQ.

I'm supposed to judge a Turboshred event. How does that work?
You will be judging individual players and giving their combos a score between 1 and 100. At the end of the round, the players with the top scores will advance. For more details, read the judging FAQ.

I'm a beginner. Is this just for the pros?
No. The Turboshred format can be used at all skill levels. The player FAQ has more information on this. You should change the basic rules of Turboshred so it's fun for you and your friends.
